This Facebook site is a register of Veteran and Emergency Service Retreats, and other venues which offer targeted, free and or reduced rate retreat / camping options to Veterans and Emergency Services Personnel (including volunteers such as Surf Lifesaving / SES etc)
NSW - Murraguldrie Veterans Retreat
The retreat is located in the Murraguldrie State Forest area. The signposted entry is 6.5km east of the Hume Highway on the Wagga Wagga-Tumbarumba Road and the retreat itself is about 100m off the main road. The retreat is available to veterans and their families and provides good bush camping with basic facilities for both caravans and tents. There is TV and mobile reception at the site.
QLD Cockscomb Veterans Bush Retreat
Cockscomb is open to all serving and Ex military (Army, Airforce and Navy) and all Emergency Services and their families. Cockscomb offers two x 4 bed cabins, an on site caretaker, tank water, septic toilets and gas hot showers. There is space for caravans and tents. There is no electricity and limited mobile reception. It is not a caravan park and doesn't provide caravan park facilities.

QLD Veterans Retreat Mothar Mountain
Veteran’s Retreat is a registered charity care farm owned by 20 year Army veteran Kylie and her young family. The retreat is 100% volunteer run and is open to all serving members, veterans, first responders and their families/carers. They offer day visits, overnight stays, animal therapy, holistic wellness events, emergency and respite accommodation, homeless veteran care and more.

QLD - Veterans Retreat Banks Creek
Owned and operated by Nicole and Grant as a not-for-profit incorporation and was established in July 2017. They established it to create a community of support for Emergency Service (ES) and Australian Defence Force (ADF) families. Banks Creek Retreat is a 100 Acre property on the border of the D’Aguilar National Park in South-east Queensland. The property is available for day use and short term camping.

The camp was built by Veterans for Veterans in honour of Sgt Andrew Russell the first Aussie to make the Supreme Sacrifice in Afghanistan.
